Babylock Tech 2012

Last week I was teaching at Babylock Tech 2012. This was my 4th year at this event. It is a conference for the Babylock dealers. The photo was taken in my booth. I was promoting my books "Your Machine's Decorative Stitches" which came out last year, and my new book "Creative Uses for Decorative Stitches" which just came out in August. They are both available through American Quilter's Society.

Check out this beautiful purse

This beautiful purse was made for me by my very good friend Lynn. The yellow/gold fabric is dyed, stenciled and stitched. It has pockets in the front, back and on the inside. I love the design of the bag and the design on the bag. It is very comfortable. I get lots of complements all the time. Thanks Lynn. I guess I owe you a small quilt don't I???

I am finishing up two quilts that I am going to enter in Quilt National. I can't show a photo of them because they will not qualify for Quilt National if they have been seen publicly. They are #3 and #4 in the "Saga of Swamp Girl" series that I am working on. These quilts are so much fun to do. They are pure fantasy. I hope I get in this show. Wish me luck!!!!!!
This is another wonder piece made by one of my students. Thanks for sending the photo Linda.

This art quilt was made by one of my students "Sharon" from Decatur, IL. She was inspired by my "Marshland" quilt. Once I showed her how to make the dragonflies, she just took off. Great job Sharon!!!

Last year at Baby Lock Tech 2011, Eleanor Burns took my class. She is such a sweet lady. I was so honored that she was interested in learning my technique.
