This art quilt was made by one of my students "Sharon" from Decatur, IL. She was inspired by my "Marshland" quilt. Once I showed her how to make the dragonflies, she just took off. Great job Sharon!!!

Hello! You have such an awesome post! I'll be looking forward for your other posts as well. Keep it up! This blog could really help me out with my business. Anyway, all of the designs are really one-of-a-kind and it really is worth its price. This is definitely going to be a hit for Asian art lovers. Wow! This is cool. Thank you so much for sharing this one. Modern understanding of the art of many cultures tends to be distorted by the modern privileging of fine art media over others, as well as the very different survival rates of works in different media. Works in metal, above all in precious metals, are liable to be "recycled" as soon as they fall from fashion, and were often used by owners as repositories of wealth, to be melted down when extra money was needed. Illuminated manuscripts have a much higher survival rate, especially in the hands of the church, as there was little value in the materials and they were easy to store. For over two decades Kaminski Auctions has sold important pieces of American and European furniture and decorative items, from prestigious names like Samuel McIntire, Herter Brothers, Horner Brothers, and Stickley.
